Senior Network Security Engineer
UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer within the
UnitedHealth Technologies Security Services department. As a Senior Network
Security Engineer you will be leading multiple technical projects and
implementing leading edge technologies in a fast-paced growth focused
organization. This job requires strong communication skills, a customer
service attitude, and exceptional technical skills.
UnitedHealth Technologies has multiple openings so primary responsibilities
will vary based on your experience and interests. Potential job
responsibilities include:
• Lead design and implementation of emerging information security
technologies.
• Provide project teams with security design and engineering expertise.
• Develop and document security standards and guidelines.
• Perform collaborative problem determination activities on overall
security network infrastructure consisting of firewalls, IDS/IPS, multi-factor
authentication, and other technologies.
• Provide leadership in cross-functional business and security teams.
• Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure.
• Integrate and optimize security tools and processes.
• Evaluate new products and technologies related to the design and
deployment of secure systems.
• Participate in long-range planning for security systems. Develop and
implement computer and network security strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will possess:
• Strong in-depth technical knowledge in security engineering, computer
and network security, authentication and security protocols.
• 3+ years experience
• Intimate knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation
techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a 24x7x365 (rotational) on-call environment
• Cisco CCSP, Checkpoint CCSE CISSP, or other certifications are a plus,
but not required.
