A client of ours is seeking a SOLARIS SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join their company.
Position is in Arlington about 1 block from a Metro! NEED ASAP. Family friendly
environment. This is a full time position working directly for the company
seeking to hire.
Systems Engineer will design, implement and support the infrastructure needs of
projects in Arlington, Virginia and the Washington DC area.
Position responsibilities include:
Design and implementation of systems architectures to include server
configurations, security administration and network connectivity.
Administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Solaris and Windows servers
hosting N-tiered custom enterprise applications in development, testing, and
production environments.
Configuration management of systems and software deployment, simple shell
scripting, database and application server installation and administration.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ideal candidates will posses the following skills:
* MUST BE A US CITIZEN - Will get a Clearance!!!!
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
* At least 3 years experience in Solaris systems administration.
* Proven experience managing n-tiered web application deployments.
* Experience building and managing UNIX systems (Solaris a big plus) running
web application and database servers (J2EE and Oracle and plus).
* Experience building and supporting high availability and fault tolerant
systems is a big plus.
* An understanding of network architecture and devices such as routers,
switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
* An understanding of n-tiered system architectures to include application and
database server technologies such as J2EE, .NET, and Oracle.
* Active SECRET security clearance a big plus.
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation
and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
