Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-02-24
Our client, a leading provider of Information Security solutions seeks a highly
motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to assist the Account Manager
in closing sales opportunities. Successful candidate will have excellent verbal
and written communication, strong project management and customer management
skills, and experience working in a fast paced, complex enterprise software
sales environment. The Sales Engineer will report to the Manager of Sales
Engineering, and will be expected to work with Account Managers and Solutions
Architects to close business and ensure customer satisfaction. This position
will be based in the Metro Boston region
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
* 5+ years in an enterprise software sales environment; Security Management or
Network Management experience preferred
* BA/BS required, computer science or related major preferred
* Excellent proven written and oral skills
* Ability to provide effective presentations and demonstrations
* Able to work effectively on their own and as a team leader
* Travel = 30-40%
Analytical & Technical Skills:
* Experience with Intrusion Detection Systems, Firewalls, Proxy Servers,
AntiVirus and other network security infrastructure
* Extensive knowledge in the use and configuration of Linux, including Red Hat
Enterprise ES v3
* Knowledge in the use and configuration of relational databases, including
MySQL
* Knowledge in the use and configuration of Ad-Hoc Query tools, including
JReports
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
* High level of self-initiative and self-motivation
