Job Summary:
Senior Director responsible for building and managing a regional sales 
organization.  Must have expertise in growing new business and relationship 
building within enterprise customers to drive the adoption of Websense’s 
internet filtering and internet security solutions.  Implement reseller 
relationships and marketing programs that will significantly raise our profile 
and product awareness through the channel as well as have direct impact on 
revenue growth and 

Essential Functions:
- Drive the business planning process within the region, ensure all territory 
managers are integrated into the process and are building their own business 
plans.  Report progress against business plan to VP.
- Assist territory managers in messaging value proposition to customers based 
on validated customer specific needs, build personal network of executive 
relationships within key customers and partners to leverage for value creation 
in customer references, PR, media, industry events, etc.
- Proactively and aggressively sell to new customers, emphasizing 
Websense’s security products. 
- Manage existing customer base, with a goal of selling additional products and 
seats each renewal period. 
- Accurately forecast and deliver revenue commitments.
- Work with the channel sales team and marketing on lead generation, program 
implementation and training efforts.




JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
- Education: BA in Business, Management or related field.
- Experience: At least 10 years of related experience in a high tech company, 
managing at least 20 sales people remotely directly and through other managers 
and directors is required.  Track record in sales through the reseller channel 
and enterprise or complex solutions sales management.
- Experience selling enterprise software products is required.
- Experience selling network or internet related security products (e.g. 
firewalls etc.) strongly preferred.
- Skill in meeting company revenue objectives, managing large accounts, 
managing sales personnel and related activities, managing budgets, utilizing 
various resources effectively, negotiating with internal and external 
constituencies -- all aspects of selling, time management, organization and 
phone skills.
- Ability to understand, communicate and execute corporate objectives 
internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, forecast and manage a $40M+ 
region.
- Evidence of having attained and exceeded quotas in previous positions.
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Persistently demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the 
company, the work, the vision and the people.
