Computer Forensics Expert
We have an exceptional career opportunity for a talented Computer Forensics
Expert to join our growing team within our Data Forensics practice area. We
are looking to fill this position with an innovative industry leader in the
field of Data Forensics. This position will be supporting multiple LuciData
clients; both corporations and law firms. You will be directly responsible for
entire Forensic process; leading onsite data investigations and performing
Forensic analysis on various forms of client media.Candidate will gathering
evidence by proper chain of custody and give complete unbiased reports to
LuciData clients as needed.
The position will be based in our downtown Denver office but may require
frequent travel possibly up to 75%.
Primary Responsibilities - Computer Forensics Expert
- Conduct examinations of computers and media generated by computers to develop
evidence in support of internal and external investigations
for corporations and law firms.
- Recover, preserve, and analyze digital evidence using standard computer
forensics and evidence handling techniques. Apply experience and knowledge of a
wide variety of advanced computer technologies and theories to conduct analysis
of submitted evidence.
- Receive, inventory, and sign for physical evidence submitted for examination.
Review laboratory requests and determine the type of
examination needed.
- Determine the most appropriate method of protecting original evidence and
recovering deleted, erased, hidden, and encrypted data.
- Identify and recommend methods and procedures for preservation, evidence
recovery, and presentation of computer evidence to clients.
- Employ forensic tools and techniques to crack file and system passwords,
detect steganography and recover deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from
digital media of all types.
- Use forensically sound procedures to identify network computer
intrusion evidence and identify perpetrators.
- Observe proper evidence custody and control procedures, document findings in
a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepare
comprehensive written reports.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Experience:
- Five to seven years of progressive experience in computer forensics
and investigations; technology advisory experience preferred.
- 2-3 years Encase experience is MANDATORY.
- Experience with FTK a plus.
- A thorough understanding of acquisition and chain of custody methodologies is
required.
- Familiarity with other forensic tools such as password crackers, email
converters, etc. is necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
- CISA, CISM, CISSP, CFE, CPA, or CMA certification/license preferred.
