Position: Security Consultant
Location: Anywhere, , India
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-01-26
* Ability to work on both pre-sales and post-sales related activities.
* Pre-sales activities include:
-- Work with Sr. Account Executives to define and execute an account
sales strategy that creates a long-term relationship with the customer.
-- Assess an account's technical needs, issues and requirements. Develop
and manage a plan to meet those needs.
-- Configure Pointsec products to build compelling demonstrations.
-- Manage pilot evaluations and help provide technical assistance during
the evaluation process.
-- Assist in the preparation of proposals and RFPs.
-- Assist product development in testing new product offerings.
-- Represent Pointsec technology at seminars and trade shows.
* During post-sales, work as a Professional Services Engineer acting as a
project manager to develop mobile business solutions using the latest Pointsec
technologies in order to accomplish well defined objectives.
* Activities related to Professional Services includes:
-- Assess and Investigate Client Requirements during Deployment.
-- Perform system Assessments, Design, Implementation, Refinement &
Testing.
-- Consult with customers to define and deliver the appropriate solution
using Industry's best practices.
-- Problem Identification & Resolution during deployment.
-- Proposal Creation and Project Documentation.
-- Deliver formal and informal Product Training.
-- Conduct Pointsec Certification Classes.
* MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ON PROJECTS AT UNANTICIPATED SITES THROUGHOUT INDIA
AND TRAVEL BETWEEN 60% TO 90% OF THE TIME.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Preference:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Major Field of Study:
Computer Science, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, and two or
more years of Software Development and Engineering experience, or an equivalent
combination of education and security related experience.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Ability to create a total solution for the customer with a mix of
software products and technical innovation.
* Experience in a consulting environment is an asset.
* Proven discipline, teamwork and a passion for technology.
* Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills required.
* Individuals should exhibit at least 4 years professional experience
working with the following platforms: Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT,
Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile, Palm OS and
Novell.
* Experience in security related fields such as data encryption, mandatory
pre-boot authentication, PKI technology, two factor authentication methods, PDA
security, VPNs, and firewalls recommended.
* Experience at using/customizing/implementing web server technologies
(Microsoft IIS) required.
* Experience working with Windows Server 2000, 2003 and understanding AD is
required.
* Experience with enterprise software management tools (SMS, Tivoli,
Altiris, Extended Systems products) or have implemented integration products.
* Experience with software concepts such as APIs.
* Experience with relational databases (SQL databases).
* Ability to convey product message and value proposition through technical
demonstrations, trade show demonstrations, and on site training engagements.
