Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Bay Area, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-01-16
Gravity is working with a leader in the network security space on a high-level
Senior Software engineering role with one of their escalation teams.
Responsibilities include: trouble-shooting customer issues that have been
escalated from the Product Support team, designing, developing and testing
modifications to existing products in a timely manner, working closely with the
Product and CM teams to develop tools and procedures that will shorten the
customer issue resolution cycle. You will also work with the Product
Development and the Quality Assurance teams, providing feedback and ensuring
that you are up to speed on new and emerging technologies.
This is a highly visible "superman" engineering role - for those who like to
solve problems for multi-million dollar issues...
JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong programming experience with C, C++ and Java in the Solaris, Linux and
Windows environments.
- Scripting experience with Unix shell and Perl
- Excellent understanding of Solaris, Linux, and Windows Operating Systems on
all levels.
- Experience working with SMTP, LDAP, and MySQL at both the programming and
protocol levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure, solve problems
