Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: RoseLand, New Jersey, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2006-01-13
As a Senior Professional in Net2s Global Security Solutions team you will
engage in the assessment of security risks related to our clients* information
technology platforms. The Consultant will be required to work with both
business and technology audiences within our clients* environments.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Consult on security solutions including vulnerability testing,
vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, risk mitigation & control, and
incident response
• Assess information security risks associated with both new and existing
network, systems and application environments
• Produce written reports / statements detailing findings, risk levels,
and resolution recommendations
• Review new and emerging exploits & vulnerabilities, and understand the
mitigation choices available
• Review both commercial and open tools to enhance Net2s * existing
security lab
• Cross train fellow Security Solutions team members including
architects, analysts, and engineers
Skills Needed:
• In-depth knowledge in the IT security field dealing with TCP/IP, IPSEC,
VPN, firewalls, IDS, Unix security/administration
• Proven ability in the penetration test, vulnerability assessment and
incident management lifecycle
• Familiarity with multiple vulnerability assessment tools and scanning
tools (AppScan, Retina, Nessus, Cenzic,*)
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Team player capable of contributing ideas across technical and business
audiences both inside and outside Net2s
• Ability to function under pressure while successfully managing multiple
priorities and deliverables
• Script-writing skills (NASL, VB) are a plus
• Familiar with coding standards & code review (C, C++, .NET, JAVA)
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience with Web inspect/Appscan and application penetration testing(
not netowrk security pen testing only),ethical hacking,web security,secure code
reviews etc.
