Position: Security Consultant
Location: Dubai, , United Arab Emirates
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2006-01-08
This position is divided into two equally important roles, sales engineering
and implementation expertise.
The product specialist is responsible for understanding the customer
environment from a technical perspective and for all technical aspects of
Pointsec solution proposal. The product specialist plays a key role in deal
negotiation as well as in RFP/RFI responses. The product specialist works
closely with the customer and the sales executive, partner, Pointsec product
management and Pointsec support.
Sales engineering
The product specialist provides high level, pre-sales technical support and
system expertise to one or more sales representatives, partners within a
defined geographical area. The pre-sale support always is derived from target
customer environment/needs.
The sales engineering, if successful, leads to the second field of
responsibility:
Implementation expertise
The product specialist must understand the customer's technical environment and
how to implement the Pointsec solution within it. The product specialist can,
if required, lead an implementation project, can act as a project senior/junior
member, and has a good understanding of the project as a work form.
The role requires skills to clearly explain technical functionality and its
impact on the existing customer technical environment. A good understanding of
third party tools and applications completing the customer environment is
essential.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

This position is to be one out of a global team of approx 20 members sharing
the similar position.
* Technical Competence Must have in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft
Windows client environment.
* Must have hands-on system experience from PDA's (Pocket PC's, Palm
Pilots, Smart phones, Symbian based devices)
* Must have proven project participating experience.
* Experience at using/customizing/implementing web server technologies
(Microsoft IIS) required.
* Documented 2 yeara experience in IT and preferrably IT Security
* Position Requirements Proven experience of technical sales support
* Experience working with Windows Server 2000, 2003 and understanding AD is
required.
* Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written
* Documented project management experience
* No objections to extensive world-wide travel
* Current driving license
* Highly recognized proven experiences CISSP certification
* IT security field of work
* MCP
* AD administration experience
* Documented PDA knowledge
* Experience with enterprise software management tools (SMS, Tivoli,
Altiris, Extended Systems products) or have implemented integration products.
* Experience with software concepts such as APIs.
* Experience with relational databases (SQL databases).
