Position: Disaster Recovery Coordinator
Location: London, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T

The role is to be a focal point for Backups in the Distributed space in Service
Delivery. The scope of the team covers several very large scale, complex
infrastructures
The role is to be the lead of this technology and related issues across EMEA.
This means all EMEA branches and each site in the UK. Maintaining relationships
with staff in Operations monitoring the backups will be key. Mining the
reporting available and following up will be key. Handing and resolving all the
open issues in the backup space (audit, CSA issues) is a key element of the
role, as is merging all legacy backup environments within EMEA.
All technical, operational and control issues will be focused through this
individual. The role reports into the EMEA Storage Service Delivery Manager.
Day-Day operational responsibility for backups in all sites in EMEA
• Service Management across the different sites/platforms.
• Tape for Unix, ATLAS, Wintel.
• day-day support
• managing project work to grow capacity, install new tools and so on
• dealing with other technical groups, eg operations
• problem solving issues, working with vendors to resolve technical issues
• working with customer teams on how best to use the technology
• working with counterparts globally on best practice
• capacity management
• change management
• planning and arrange overnight / weekend cover
• scheduling weekend changes
• participating and leading major events & problem resolutions
• maintaining the environment
• resolving control issues
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Deep technical skills (SME level) in a related technology (server space)
Legato/Netbackup preferred
Core mail/Powerpoint/Excel skills
