Position: Security Engineer

Exciting opportunity with a global organization whos IT department is based in
Seattle
This back end web hosting group, in Seattle, is looking for a technical network
security engineer to join their small, but robust security team. This is the
opportunity most security professionals dream of, the chance to work in a Risk
Management group with executive buy-in and an excellent boss. You’ll be
working on new and exciting projects that span all of this client's internet
properties, many of which you are sure to have heard of and used in the past.
You’ll help to evaluate these projects from a security control
perspective. Our client embraces candidates with a strong work ethic who
welcome working with a fast paced group full of people who enjoy their work and
who are good at what they do.
The duties also include being in charge of all perimeter security controls,
including firewalls, VPN's, production accounts, access, IDS and the like.
You'll be monitoring logs, vulnerabilities and reviewing change requests. As
part of the back engine of all of this client's web properties, your job would
be to use your business savvy in working cross-functionally with many different
groups of all technical experience levels. Work for an organization that

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Windows and Unix expertise, with an emphasis on the Windows side. Firewall
knowledge, network intrusion, and a solid understanding of basic network
protocols. While our client doesn't expect you have been involved with
networking as of late, they do expect you are familiar with the networking
principals learned early in your career and that you can apply that knowledge
when performing security architecture reviews. Incident response and security
monitoring in a prior security role. Identity management experience a PLUS.
