Position: Information Assurance Engineer
Location: Fairfax, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-12-22
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation,
cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include:
concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and
disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product
requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule,
and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail
trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to
translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or
equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional
experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters
degree.
Performs analysis on computer systems to determine vulnerabilities. Designs,
develops, engineers, and implements computer security solutions. Defines,
designs, and specifies processes and procedures supporting the implementation
of computer solutions.
Analyses and defines requirements for related task order. Performs entry-level
risk assessment. Analyzes and defines requirements for computer systems.
Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions to requirements.
Responsible for integration and implementation of the computer system solution.
Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization's mission
goals and needs, existing products, and ongoing programs.
Must have demonstrated experience in defining computer requirements for systems
or high-level applications, evaluating approved product capabilities, and
developing proper computer system solutions.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Candidates should possess strong presentation skills, good interpersonal
skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Moderate customer interaction and limited travel to customer facilities may be
required. Applicants must have an active DOD or FBI Top Secret clearance.
