Title:  Consulting Services, Principal Security Consultant, Applications 
Office Location:  Bay Area or Seattle preferred but open to most Western US 
locations.

General Description:

The Principal Security Consultant (PSC) has expertise in multiple technical 
areas, with in-depth knowledge of multiple security domains. The Principal 
Security Consultant has broad industry and customer experience and is able to 
lead teams in the completion of complex engagement tasks or solutions, provide 
technical leadership to the Global Consulting Services Organization, and 
contribute to multiple projects both as a team member and a team leader.  Will 
typically be assigned to an identified global region such as Americas or 
International.

Responsibilities: 

Using effective oral and written communication skills, the Principal Security 
Consultant must be able to efficiently and creatively solve security issues by 
making insightful and timely decisions, often in complex enterprise 
environments. The Principal Security Consultant must be skilled at 
establishing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with clients, partners 
and employees. Additionally, the PSC must have the ability to manage client 
expectations and adjust them as necessary. The PSC will facilitate technical 
discussions with business and technical staff to ensure effective technical 
solutions that impact service delivery. Deliver direct-bill support, serving as 
a subject matter expert on high-profile or complex customer engagements.  
Participate in business development efforts, including assisting Sales Staff 
and Practice Development with proposal development and standardization. Act as 
mentor for aspiring junior consultants.

Job Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or 
equivalent experience.

Job Experience

5-8 years demonstrated experience in the consulting services field, with 
high-tech security experience desirable. Demonstrated skill in utilizing Excel, 
Word and PowerPoint. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated oral 
and written communication skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience with all or most of the following:

        Application architecture including designs, reviews, 
assessments, security configurations, and best practices
        Penetration Testing for Applications and/or Products and 
familiarity with extended application penetration tool set
        Thorough understanding of application protocols, development, 
and common attack vectors
        Ability to discover advanced logic flaws and multiple step 
architectural errors
        Strong understanding of cryptographic concepts
        Ability to create flow analysis diagrams for complex systems
        Ability to lead developer interviews
        Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages with the 
ability to write simple scripts and explain exploits of security bugs in the 
given language
        Familiarity with decompilers, static analysis tools such as 
Rats, and Interactive Development Environments
        Ability to script advanced attacks
        Understanding of data correlation
        Able to fuzz applications and protocols for new vulnerabilities 
and able to fully exploit newly discovered vulnerabilities
        Able to understand and defeat product reconnaissance 
countermeasures
        Detailed understanding of operating system security and 
functionality requirements 
        Familiarity with reverse engineering tools, debuggers, and 
dynamic analysis techniques
