platform enabling consumers and business users to be more productive.
Employees in the Desktop Platforms group focus is on designing and delivering
solutions for the desktop PC, including processors, chipsets, motherboards,
software and services.
If you would like to get paid to HACK at the next generation CPU technology,
please consider our positions. You can be responsible for improving the
security of Intel Products coupled with the opportunity to work in all steps of
the product lifecycle ranging from architecture to validation. You will be a
member of either:
• Intel LaGrande Technology which creates a hardware foundation on the
Client PC platform, that can help protect the confidentiality and integrity of
data stored or created from software based attacks which spans the platform
from CPU to Chipset to Operating System
• Intel Viiv™ Technology represents the latest platform for digital
home entertainment which includes content protection, digital rights management
for the PC Platform and associated network.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Focusing on the chipset technologies and their platform considerations
• Ensuring security by design and performing validation
• Identifying product vulnerabilities (weaknesses), devising and
implementing creative ways (ethical hacking) to attack these and then working
to drive for resolution
• Key member of the emerging Security Evaluation Center of Excellence
which is chartered with driving similar efforts across Intel
• Software and hardware evaluation, network penetration testing, planning
and leading cross-divisional team
• Building and delivering training materials around secure design
concepts
• Tthreat modeling and vulnerability analysis of their products and
performing product security audits
• Developing software to “hack” the platform using tools such
as In Target Probes
• Providing solutions to real world problems….to be considered for
this position, you should possess a Bachelor of Science degree or a Master of
Science degree in an engineering discipline with more than three years of work
experience or equivalent.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications include:
• Experience with PC or embedded system software or firmware development
• Demonstrated C and Assembly language programming skills and knowledge
of secure software development practices
• Knowledge of Microsoft* Windows* and/or Linux* OS architecture and
hardware interface architecture would be an added advantage
• GCIH, CISSP and/or other security certifications would be an added
advantage
• Experience with the desktop, mobile or server chipsets preferred
• Knowledge of software and/or hardware vulnerability analysis,
penetration testing, and “ethical hacking”
• Knowledge of key security technologies including authentication,
authorization, cryptography, and secure protocols
• BS/5yrs exp., MS/4yrs. exp. or PhD/3yrs. exp. in an EE, CE or CS degree.
