Position: Security System Administrator

Security Operations Project Coordinator - Mountain View
This position is based in Mountain View, CA.
Google has one of the most advanced and innovative operations environments on
the planet. The Operations and IT team manages a broad range of technical areas
including hardware, networking, and system administration.
Do you strive to put organization around chaos? Would you love to help Google's
Engineers make the world a safer place? We are looking for a few individuals to
help us keep track of Google's various security related activities. These
people must have the ability to work well with all types of personalities
ranging from Engineers to Executives, be smart, balance ever-changing
timelines, and be flexible in a fast-paced environment. Having good
communication skills, a friendly demeanor, a team-oriented approach, and sense
of humor are necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities:
Task and project management in the areas of: vulnerability management
regulatory compliance and routine system audits.
Work with the Security team to identify tasks that need automation and ongoing
support; work to find solutions to these problems.
Coordinate multi-group tasks involving Security and the rest of the company.
Help others to understand the importance of building safe systems and helping
them find the right contacts to do so.
Ensure the Security team meets their deliverables around compliance.
Perform routine tasks and maintain detailed records.
Requirements:
Higher education degree preferred (e.g., BS or BA).
An interest in computer security, compliance and systems automation.
Ability to grasp complex technical concepts easily is a must. Systems
Administrator, Network Administrator and Engineering backgrounds are a plus.
A positive attitude with the ability to infect others with the desire to do
even the most unpleasant tasks.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with the ability to handle
multiple priorities.
Desire to grow into a greater role either as a technical or project manager.
