Information Systems Security Director
POSITION DETAILS:
The Director of IS Security directs, coordinates, plans and implements
information security activities throughout the company. The Director is the
focal point for all communications related to information security, both with
internal staff and third parties. This position will ensure that all company
information systems are available, accessible only by authorized users, and
backed up. Will be responsible for developing and executing the information
security strategic plan for the global enterprise; creating and documenting
security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines as required by the
business, technology and regulatory agencies; ensuring appropriate controls
exist to monitor adherence to policies and procedures; monitoring compliance of
controls and providing compliance reporting; monitoring and responding to
immediate threats and vulnerabilities regarding the safety of company systems
and information; and collaborating with internal and external audit teams f
or regulatory compliance. Will be responsible for employee awareness and
training on information security policies and procedures; coordinating efforts
with 3rd parties (outside vendors, security providers, etc.) to ensure security
is adequately tested and verified; implementing corrective actions and
recommendations resulting from security assessments; and ensuring that an
appropriate post-mortem analysis of all information security breaches,
violations and incidents are reported and acted on accordingly.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5-7 years management experience over a staff of security professionals
• 5-7 years hands-on security experience with IBM zSeries, iSeries,
pSeries, Sun Solaris, Linux, MS-Windows, Exchange, Active Directory, Enterprise
Directory, Electronic Signature, LDAP, VPN, Firewall, Network Security and
other web-based technologies
• 3-5 years hands-on technical experience with legacy security products
such as RACF, Top-Secret or ACF2
• RACF experience a plus
• CISM and CISSP certification
• Must have implemented a corporate wide security awareness program
• Outstanding project management skills
• Excellent communications and team-building skills
