OVERVIEW
Our Client is the fastest growing provider of Security Risk Assessment and
Ongoing Compliance Management software solutions. RELSEC is expanding its
consulting team in the North East (NJ-PA-NY-CT) United States. We are
interested in recruiting experienced individuals to become key members of their
highly successful team.
POSITION & JOB DESCRIPTION:
SECURITY CONSULTANT – Risk & Vulnerability Assessment/Audit/Compliance
– New York, NY
This role will conduct detailed Information Security Control Assessments (via
interviews, walk thru’s and using vulnerability scanners) of information
systems & related areas at the Client site. This person will analyze the
assessment data, prepare reports and make recommendations/presentations to
senior management.
The consultant will be trained in specific methodology & technology.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s degree necessary and advanced degree a plus.
* Prior consulting & industry experience (3-5+ yrs)
* 2+ years experience in IT Security Compliance/Risk Assessments/Audits
* Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization from the end user to
senior management
* General understanding of various information security compliance areas such
as HIPAA, GLBA etc.
* Ability to work with little direction from senior management
* A person that is able to work as part of a team to deliver to tight
timeframes and respond quickly in an ever-changing environment.
* CISSP, GSEC, CISA and other relevant certifications a plus.
* Short-term travel may be required
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Security Audits
- Vulnerability Assessments-Network, Host, Applications
- Penetration Testing-Network, Host, Applications; Ethical Hacking
- Analysis of Enterprise IDS systems/logs
- Operating System and Application Hardening
- Wireless Security
- BCP/DR
- Firewall and router configuration, switches, secure network architecture,
VPNs, etc.
- ISS, SNORT, sniffer technologies
- Windows 2000/NT, UNIX
