transaction processing, systems development, consulting and transaction tax
systems and content. We currently deliver these solutions to the federal, state
and local governments.
HIPAA Privacy and Compliance Specialist
Responsible for the development and implementation of HIPAA Privacy policies
for the entity. Will also act as the contact person for reporting of privacy
policy violations that are reported either internally or through sources
external to the entity. Must be able to work independently and be familiar
with the Health Insurance Privacy and Portability Act’s (HIPAA’s)
Standards for Privacy of Individually Identifiable Information; Final Rule (45
CFR Parts 160 and 164) and all other HIPAA rules. Must be able to quickly
identify answers to privacy-related questions and identify specific sections
that address the question within the said Final Rule or addenda, if
appropriate. Will be responsible for training of the entity’s staff in
the entity’s privacy policies. Will act as a Subject Matter Expert on all
HIPAA rules including, Privacy, Security, Transactions and Code Sets, the
National Provider Identifier, and the Unique Employer Identifier.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in program/project management
techniques, information systems development/deployment, quality assurance and
control, fraud prevention and detection, and information systems security
standards.
In-depth knowledge of HIPAA federal regulations/procedures.
7+ years of health care experience, with emphasis on administration, project
management, compliance reviews, and HIPAA.
