Position: Information Assurance Analyst
Location: Arlington, VA; Lanham, MD; Herndon, VA, , United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Coordinated Defense, LLC is actively seeking Senior Information Assurance
Analysts to support various clients in the metro Washington DC, Maryland,
Northern Virginia areas immediately. Coordinated Defense, LLC delivers
information security consulting services that range tactical to strategic. We
are expert in all facets of information security and implement coordinated
approaches for our clients. We hire full-time/permanent employees and
contractors for the public and private sectors around the Washington, DC

We are currently seeking a professional with a strong background in system
and/or network administration. Prefer candidates with security-related skills
or a willingness to learn advanced security technologies. Candidate should
possess strong analytical thinking skills, be detailed oriented and can
multitask in an environment that must adapt to evolving security threats.
Excellent verbal and writing skills is desirable.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, attributes and
experience:
- Ability to lead research; evaluate, test, configure, and administer
security hardware and software products.
- Conduct technical vulnerability assessments.
- Support security help desk functions.
- Experience in security hardware/software including firewalls, access control
tools, intrusion detection solutions, and perform computer incident response
center (CIRC) functions including monitoring, intrusion analysis, alert
response, investigative support, computer forensics, support patch and exploit
dissemination.
- Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on intrusion detection analysis
- Understanding of TCP/IP
- Familiarity knowledge of current vulnerabilities, exploits and attack types
- Familiarity with scanning tools such as nmap and Nessus.
- Administrator-level knowledge of Unix and/or Windows systems and/or
networking devices
- Ability to perform shift work
- Related degree(s) and/or 3-5 years applicable experience
- CISSP, SANS Global Incident Analysis Center (GIAC) Level III certification
and/or other professional certifications a plus.
