Position: Sales Engineer

SOLUTION ENGINEER - SME:SECURITY PRACTICE
LOCATION: Scottsdale,AZ or Huntingdon Beach, CA
Represent SunGard’s Professional Services SECURITY PRACTICE by interacting
with SunGard prospects and customers to learn about the customer’s
critical business issues and identify SunGard security consulting offerings
that will address those issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Demonstrate expertise and establish credibility with clients and
prospects.
• Share detailed knowledge of all SunGard security consulting services;
security assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration analyses,
regulatory compliance reviews, security program development, etc.
• Develop or modify existing Statements of Work to accurately describe the
requirements of the customer and services to be provided by SunGard.
• Provide support to sales staff in developing interest in and awareness
of our services.
• Support approximately 100 sales staff in a wide geographic area of
approximately 20 states
• Maintain a general awareness of other services provided by SunGard;
traditional hotsite recovery, Managed Service offerings, Highly Available
environments, Professional Services, Planning software.
• Identify new service offerings that will meet the expanding needs of our
client community.
• Interact with clients in presentations, data gathering, and analysis
activities.
• Continually build knowledge and proficiency in security services.
• Extensive travel requirements- Min of 50%.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
• Min 5 years of relevant consulting and technology experience.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Experience in an advisory (consulting) role, in addition to the industry
experience, is a plus.
• IT audit, Systems Security architecture and Privacy-related experience
is a plus.
• Must have exceptional analytical skills and ability to focus skill
toward solution driven result.
• Strong knowledge of information availability / disaster recovery highly
preferred.
• "Creditworthiness" and ability to use a personal credit card for all
reimbursable expenses is required.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience in analyzing, planning and consulting in technical
environments.
• Ability to work unsupervised and provides all requirements in a timely
manner.
• Must be self-motivated, team player, and able to immediately contribute
to a fast-paced, deadline-intensive environment.
• Demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior
executives through Security focused solutions and solid verbal and written
presentations skills.
• A strong client services orientation but must also be accustomed to
taking an active role in executing engagements.
• Proficiency in Windows based applications, Word, Excel and database
experience.
• Applicable certifications (CISSP, CBCP, FBCI, CRP, etc.) are preferred
but not required
