Sr. Security Architect - Major Accounts

looking for an outstanding individual to join our Team! We are currently 
seeking a Sr. Security Architect of Major Accounts to be located at our 
Northwest San Antonio location.

Essential Functions:

The Senior Security Architect reports to the Executive Director, Information 
Security. The Senior Security Architect-Major Account is responsible for the 
development, deployment and integrating the Clarke America information security 
architecture, policy, and standards with the Security Program of the Major 
Account. This position is also responsible for the audit and oversight of 
information security and privacy related procedures and process as they apply 
to the Major Account. The Senior Security Architect will be the direct liaison 
between the Major Account Team and the Corporate Information Security Office 
while providing technical advise and direction to the Major Account Team as 
required. 

Senior Security Architect works on major, more complex IT architecture projects 
with full competency in support of the Major Account. Applies hardware 
engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, 
designing, developing, and maintaining the security architectures of the 
company. Works with IT leadership and business leaders to provide integrated 
security planning and recommends innovative technologies that will enhance the 
current system protection. Recommends appropriate security standards required 
to support business goals and strategy, and coordinates the activities of 
security related project teams including the monitoring of project schedules 
and costs. 

Typically requires 6-10 years of experience in information security, and 5-8 
years in relationship management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* The Senior Security Architect is responsible for creating and maintaining 
effective information security architecture for the corporation that maps to 
its business requirements, integrating with the major account team, and 
providing information security guidance and support as required. A security 
architecture consists of various components dealing with the IT infrastructure 
and processes including the integration of Clarke American assets with partner 
assets. The components of the Security Architecture define a security model 
that ensures the protection of information assets at all times. The Senior 
Security Architect will participate in coordinating the definition, scope and 
procurement of technical security controls as required by the information 
security architecture. - 30%
* Interfacing with business partners in responding to security information 
requests from such partners. - 20%
* As a member of the information security organization, this position with work 
to establish, maintain and educate in stakeholders on security policies. Assist 
in the developing of security standards, processes, and procedures based on 
security policy. - 20%
* Assists in the identification, reporting and monitoring of security exposures 
and threats to the computing environment and its impact on the corporation as 
well as the ability to communicate potential risks to the major account team. - 
15%
* The Senior Security Architect must be able to provide technical and 
administrative advice to the information security system administrators, IT 
leadership, and the major account team when new initiatives to not conform to 
the corporation's current security architecture and standards. - 15%

Required Education and Skills:

A Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information 
Security or Information Assurance required. A Masters degree in Business 
Administration is preferred. A person in this position requires strong 
relationship and business management skills, and be technically proficient in 
networking, operating systems, information security, and programming. It is 
generally desirable for a person in this position to be CISSP or CBCP certified 
or possess a technical certification such as CCIE-Security, GSAW or GSLC.

Previous Experience - A person in this position should have at least 6 * 10 
years of experience in information security or related job skills. Additional 
security experience can be considered in lieu of certification or education. A 
person should also have 5-8 years experience in relationship and business 
management (preferably in the financial sector) and be able to participate in 
contract negotiations as well as technical integration between partners.

Analysis Skills - This is required in order to understand the business needs 
and relate them to security. This skill is crucial if the concept of promoting 
security as an enabler and not an inhibitor of business is going to be achieved 
by the Information Security Organization. The Senior Security Architect must be 
able to determine the appropriate amount of risk that is allowable based on the 
needs of the business.

Policy and Processes - The Senior Security Architect must be familiar with 
policy, standard, and procedure development. This person must have a thorough 
understanding of the implementation and maintenance of processes. The Senior 
Security Architect must have the ability to identify business needs, convert 
them to risks and develop documentation. The Senior Security Architect must be 
an expert in security related processes such as Change Control, Risk 
Management, Quality Assurance, and Auditing.
