In addition, he or she will provide input to customer and partner demos and assist business development with technical assessments of new partnering opportunities (e.g., joint value proposition, product integration potential). Position Responsibilities: Uncover and establish those elements of ArcSight’s competitive advantage that will most clearly differentiate it from core competitors and provide concise competitive positioning and messaging for the sales force. Gather competitive intelligence, provide a detailed assessment of competitive strengths and weaknesses, and deliver competitive positioning briefs to sales and SE teams Improve partner sales effectiveness and ensure a high level of partner awareness of the joint value proposition and confidence in ArcSight products and technologies. Offer technical assistance to and develop positioning and marketing content for ArcSight’s strategic partners, including training their SE and sales organizations. Develop technical white papers and presentations to be leveraged for both prospects and outbound marketing, including speaking opportunities at technical conferences. Clearly articulate the benefits of ArcSight’s core technologies reflecting how they enable real-life customer success. Support the business development team as a technical resource to understand potential integration models and communicate requirements to product management Create effective tools for product reviews and demonstrations, including reviewer guides, technical presentations, technology white papers, briefs, FAQ, etc. Represent Company at seminars, industry panels, tradeshows, customer meetings, etc. Assist with the development of product demos for SEs and Assist with product reviews in industry magazines. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Required Skills and Experience: Successful 7-10 year track record in technical marketing or equivalent sales engineering experience with enterprise security products and a strong understanding of the security market and enabling technologies. Ability to thrive in a demanding environment requiring high degree of deadline-driven productivity, adaptability, communication, initiative and follow-through. Excellent time management, organizational and leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality products. Experience demonstrating products and solutions and communicating technical issues, including product training. Exceptional public speaking and writing/communication skills Strong project management skills. Strong interpersonal skills; team oriented and proactive, can effectively communicate across in-house and partner sales, engineering and marketing organizations Very good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint. Desired Experience: Technical Marketing or Sales Engineering background in the security management, risk management, configuration management or policy compliance is preferred.
