Position: Developer
Location: Eagan, Minnesota, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

SGI has an immediate opening in our Core Software Development group in Eagan,
MN.
In this role as a Security Software Engineer, you will work with a talented
team of engineers on developing new features and fixing existing defects in
Linux and Irix. Primary area of focus for this position is security, including
the Common Criteria defined specifications. Interact with multiple software
development teams as well as customer support engineering to identify, triage,
and solve problems quickly. This position will also involve working and
collaborating with the Linux community and major Linux distributors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
BS in Computer Science or equivalent. At least 3 years software development
experience using C/C in Unix environment. Ability to diagnose and fix bugs.
Ability to interact and communicate with other software engineers and customer
support engineering. Previous security related experience with the Common
Criteria (CAPP or LSPP) functionality desired. An understanding of Irix/Linux
kernel internals is a plus.
