Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: San Mateo, California, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2005-10-23
You will be a member in a small group of engineers developing the driver module
- a critical component of the company’s core next generation system
software offering. The product is designed for a cross-platform environment
with the driver module consists of a File Filter Driver, a registry and email
interception module, and communication modules between user and kernel mode.
You will be responsible for architecture, design, and implementation of the
entire subsystem. This is the central piece of our product offering. You will
be able to contribute in various areas ranging from distilling requirements
from various groups, to architecting and implementing key components of the
system. You will be working on the latest technologies like security, Java,
server technology, XML, OS kernel, 802.1x, MFC, Windows DDK, and Active
Directory/LDAP.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
BS/MS degree in computer science or electrical engineering, BS/MS in
engineering degree with emphasis or strong working knowledge of Computer
Science.
3+ years’ of experience in kernel mode development in Windows environment
and deep knowledge of debugging techniques and tools.
5+ years’ C++ programming experience with strong object-oriented analysis
and design skills.
Full Knowledge of WIN32 API and Windows DDK (specifically Registry and File
system).
Full understanding of Windows I/O and File Systems (NTFS, SMB, CIFS, cache
management, etc.). Proven record of building a file system driver or file
filter drivers is highly important.
3+ years’ of experience in working as a member of a system-level
engineering team in construction of a large-scale, commercial system from
inception through development, release and maintenance at least once.
Candidates should possess detailed knowledge of file system issues in the areas
of performance, concurrency, reliability, and scalability.
A strong track record in delivering competitive, innovative products is also
required.
Experience with NFS and UNIX file systems are a major plus.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Strong product quality awareness.
