JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Sr. Security Analyst
Location:       Washington DC (Downtown), District of Columbia, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2005-10-22

 To lead Certification and Accreditation (C&A) effort for a major application 
system within a large Federal Agency. Emphasis will be on documentation and 
ability to mentor Operations Team (System and Application Administrators) about 
the importance of Information Security and contractual obligations related to 
the C&A process and FISMA reporting. Provide INFOSEC input for ongoing and 
future projects and work closely with the Incident Response team. The overall 
project consists of tasks and deliverables consistent with FISMA requirements. 
Our client’s task is to maintain the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) 
they provided and deliver additional IT security services as needed in order to 
provide the client with a defensible FISMA compliant network.

A typical day includes:

* Asset Identification
* Asset configuration
* Data type determination
* Systems Testing & Evaluation
* Independent Verification & Validation
* Penetration Testing
* Vulnerability Assessments
* C&A related activities
* Providing input for Limited Technical Vulnerability Analysis (LTVA), Plan of 
Action with
Milestones (POAM) reports, Management Control Reviews (MCR)
* Other systems related activities as needed or required by the client. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
 Must possess excellent writing, presentation and oral communication skills
and work well with people, selling and driving ideas through the company. 
Extensive security experience designing/developing security based 
products/services, securing internal networks and implementation experience. 
Experience with FISMA (Federal Information Security Management Act) and 
Certification & Accreditation (C&A) of systems a plus.

CISSP, SANS (any track), preferred

Years of Experience: 5+ years relevant security experience

Minimum Level of Experience:
Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.

Security Clearance:
(MBI) Minimum Background Investigation
