Verizon International Security Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is a work group supporting the Company’s market facing information security programs and initiatives as a component of Verizon Security Solutions (VSS). The GSOC is located in Irving, Texas with a hot site currently located in Baltimore, Maryland. The group provides planning services and direct support to all Verizon International Security GSOC and GSOC channel partner customers. SecurityServices Provided: -Security Operations Center -7x24 On Call Customer Service provided, 365 days a year -Event Management -Configuration Management -Vulnerability Management -Fault Surveillance Director responsibilities include (but not limited to): · Work with senior management to develop processes, procedures, and policy for running the operational portion of the GSOC · Interface with the development and research teams on a daily basis to provide leading edge information and resources to the customers. · Work closely with all GSOC customers to ensure SLA compliance · Handle escalated security issues on a 24x7 basis · Monitor and administer managed devices and security events on security operation consoles. · Work with research teams to evaluate tickets and determine the appropriate corrective action · Maintain project tracking systems and abuse management systems · Maintain active dialog with end users, acting trustees, access coordinators, and other personnel to ensure all policies, procedures, and guidelines are communicated and understood. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- Qualifications: Must have experience managing a highly skilled, high performance 24x7 security support team and provide work direction to the direct report technical professionals. Must also have a strong working knowledge of security, particularly as it relates to the monitoring and management of security technologies.
