Position:       Security Architect
Location:       Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2005-10-15

Responsible assisting in the design, testing, implementation and compliance of 
Company’s LAN Security architecture. The incumbent will interact with 
and/or support various technical groups as well as end-users in the performance 
of their duties

Design and architect LAN security solutions in coordination with IT Operations 
and application developers.
Assess and monitor security posture against potential threats from unauthorized 
or malicious users based on best industry practices as well as corporate 
security policy and standards. Make adjustments as necessary to improve 
security effectiveness.
Systematically review all production systems for compliance with security 
policies and standards.
Maintain expertise on security trends through training, research and 
development in order to mitigate potential security exposures.
Cross-train in Midrange and Network security in order to provide redundant 
support for these systems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
  Minimum 5+ years developing and supporting security solutions on the 
following platforms:  Windows NT (Workstation and Server), and Windows 2000 
(Workstation and Server).  Minimum 1+  years developing and supporting Quest 
ActiveRoles Server (formerly known as Enterprise Directory Manager) and Windows 
XP and 2003.  This includes system architecture, configuration, monitoring, and 
ongoing compliance.  BS required. Project Management experience is required. 
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required.  Must be able 
to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including Senior 
Management and end users.  Must be able to effectively management multiple 
concurrent projects with high attention to detail.  Experience with Network 
Security systems (firewalls, intrusion detection, vulnerability analysis, 
etc.), AS400, UNIX security is preferred.
