Position: Developer

Member of a highly motivated Anti-Spam team responsible for developing
solutions to protect corporate customers from the spam problem. This Anti-Spam
team is divided into two disciplines, firstly the research team who are
responsible for the rules and the systems that generate the rules and secondly
the engine team who develop the engine based on requirements coming from both
customers and the research team.
Because of the nature of the business the team is highly reactive and the work
is very fast moving.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Carry out detailed research into spammer and Phishing activities and
campaigns, and work with the research team to define new requirements for the
anti-spam engine.
* Work with the product teams to help with engine integration issues and
understand new requirements coming from them.
* Taking those requirements, scoping them and providing good reliable effort
estimates.
* Prototyping the functionality and measuring the success of the features.
* Implementing new features to production standard.
* Working with the test team to define testing and fixing issues during the
release cycle.
* Work with support analysts to review customer submitted problems and develop.
* Solutions/explanations as to the problem they are having.
* Developing internal tools for research and automated networked systems for
spam categorisation and analysis.
* Submitting ideas for patenting and writing patents for the core Anti-Spam
technology.
