Job Description:
Write and execute detailed test plans for Sourcefire's network security
solutions.
Interact with Sourcefire development and Operations.
Provide top-tier customer support on product related issues.
Interact with vendors and partners on test-related issues.
Track defects from discovery through resolution.
Individuals must work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and
willing to learn new skills. Experience in a fast paced startup environment is
highly desired.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
* Experience using various types of test equipment and tools as well as
having a very clear understanding of testing methodologies.
* Experience in defining test requirements, test methodologies and
setting up the required test lab and equipment
* Strong technical skills with solid GUI Testing experience (must have
used QuickTest Pro, Silk, etc.)
* Excellent analytical and technical skills
* Previous/current experience testing in a Linux, Solaris and other
UNIX environments as well as how to administer those environments.
Preferred:
Knowledgeable in TCP/IP and related networking protocols and concepts
Must have a strong background in NMS and GUI Testing with an automation
background
Proficient in C, Perl, and Shell scripting languages
Experience writing detailed test design specification for networking equipment
Experience in database schema definitions, administration, performance tuning
strategies
Knowledge of network security concepts especially Intrusion Detection Systems
(IDS)
Experience stress testing network equipment
Educational:
Bachelor degree in EE/CS or related field or equivalent experience
