Job Description:

As a member of the Business Development team in the Director role you will be 
working with senior management to define and build a Sourcefire technology 
partner program. This will be an individual contributor role that will require 
you to build a program from scratch, and subsequently manage the program and 
its partners in their entirety. You will be involved with the program 
development throughout all stages of its life cycle (conception, definition, 
development, availability and post-release activities) managing strategic 
planning, program requirements and tactical activities. Other responsibilities 
include collaborating with Product Marketing and Marketing Communications to 
create industry promotion and marketing materials about the program; 
evangelizing the program both internally and externally; participating in 
tradeshows, seminars and user conferences as required; establishing attack and 
execution plans for targeted industries and companies which Sourcefire should 
coll
 aborate with and; recruiting and managing such targeted companies. 
Additionally, the Director role may at some point include named account 
management responsibilities as determined by senior management.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
        * Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience required.
        * 10 years experience in high tech software product management, 
software engineering or sales engineering (“SE”) – experience 
working with security software is required
        * Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as 
the ability to build strong relationships across multiple teams in an 
organization.
        * Some travel required.
        * Prior experience in a start-up environment is a plus.
        * 3-5 years of process-based Product Management experience required. 
This includes having experience conceiving, building, launching and managing 
new product and program initiatives.
        * Requires prior experience recruiting and managing business 
partnerships, including negotiating contract terms and conditions.
        * Position is based in Columbia, Maryland or Tysons Corner, Virginia.
