We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for a Senior z/OS DB2 DBA
to join our Global Information Services (GIS) team in our Princeton, NJ office.
GIS provides CA employees and customers with powerful secure and reliable
business and support applications that allows business to be
done easily and productively.
As a Senior z/OS DB2 DBA you will be responsible for performing advanced z/OS
DB2 database installations, upgrades, performance analysis, and configurations.
Other core database administration functions to be performed include: database
user administration; database security; database networking configuration;
database storage administration; database capacity planning; advanced scripting
to automate processes; and creation of efficient database queries.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have 5+ years work experience as a z/OS DB2 DBA with a
comprehensive understanding of relational database concepts, DB2 utilities, DB2
performance tuning, DB2 backup and recovery, version 8 features, DML and DDL.
Knowledge of z/OS tools and facilities including IPCS dumps, ISPF and REXX
scripting is also required. Qualified candidates will also have the ability to
write comprehensive procedural documentation, be experienced in physical and
logical database design, and have proficiency with capacity planning and
database performance monitoring and tuning. Excellent oral and written
communication skills and the flexibility to provide off-hour technical support
is required. Experience with SAP on z/OS DB2 platform highly desirable. BS in
CS, CIS, or MIS preferred.
