We currently have an exceptional career opportunity for a Sr. Quality Assurance
Technician to join our Global Information Services (GIS) team in our Islandia,
NY World Headquarters. GIS provides CA employees and customers with powerful
secure and reliable business and support applications that allows business to
be done easily and productively.
Sr. Quality Assurance Technician candidates must exhibit a high degree of
professionalism, customer service and enthusiasm. This position is responsible
for production support, analysis of service desk tickets to determine proper
corrective action, as well as, analysis, implementation and delivery of a broad
spectrum of application software testing on a project basis. Candidate must be
knowledgeable and able to represent the project(s) through all phases of the
Project Life Cycle. Business relationship development and team leadership
qualities are essential for the candidate to succeed. This candidate will also
provide QA testing, management/oversight of offshore QA Testing resource(s).
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have 3 or more years of hands on experience in: Production
Application Support; Quality Assurance and Software Testing practices for all
phases of the Project Life Cycle; and Manual QA Testing. Qualified candidates
will also have working knowledge of MS Office Suite, MS Project and Visio;
experience with Test Plan development and implementation; experience with
implementing Test Automation practices and procedures and hands on experience
with Mercury Interactive Test Director or similar test tools. Excellent
communication skills, both oral and written are required. Business travel of
approximately 10 percent yearly is expected for this position. Bachelor's
Degree or equivalent education/experience in a related field preferred.
