Position:       Security Engineer
Location:       Wharton, New Jersey, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Review and monitor firewall, router, and system logs, and investigate 
anomalous trends as needed.
•  Define and refine firewall policies.
•  Develop and implement network intrusion detection strategies.
•  Assist the Network Engineering team with network designs by 
contributing a network security centric perspective.
•  Audit Site to Site VPN trust relationships.
•  Evaluate new and emerging products and technologies.
•  Assist the Network Engineering team in the installation and maintenance 
of IT security network appliances.
•  Manage and configure secure enclaves (must be familiar with VLAN 
architectures).



JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
•  Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain Secret Clearance. 
•  Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
•  Proficient with Cisco PIX firewalls, Cisco IOS, WAN, VLANs, 
Spanning-Tree protocols as well as bridging. 
•  Must have strong documentation skills.
•  Experience in MPLS/IPSEC a plus.
•  CCNA, CCNP, CCIE a plus.
•  Knowledge of Wired/Wireless protocols
•  Knowledge of IPv6
•  Experience with network devices (L4 switches, SAN storage, IP routers, 
HTTP caches, HTTP proxies and LDAP devices)
•  Strong operational, tactical and strategic understanding of security 
products and concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, IDSs and other security devices.
•  Experience in designing or implementing enterprise security 
architecture models and frameworks.
•  Application layer protocol security (e.g., proxies, reverse proxies, 
SFTP, ssh and enterprise-wide antivirus system).
•  Familiar with emerging network level IT Security Compliance technology 
such as CISCO NAC, Vinier, and Trend Micro’s Virus Wall as well as 
authentication standards such as TACACS, XTACACS, TACACS+, and RADIUS.
•  Knowledge of Lower-layer (Layer 2 and Layer 3) protocol security
