Position: Security Architect
Location: Richardson, Texas, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-09-30
Our client is a major fortune 500 company with tremendous upside potential and
room for advancement. They are seeking a Security Architect to join their fast
growing security team.
The security architect designs, monitors and modifies the security architecture
using the requirements from the approved security
strategy in support of on-going business functions. The architect examines the
enterprise-wide security issues and defines solutions for
the protection of the entire company. This role establishes requirements for
the corresponding technology, and leads product evaluation and selection
activities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

*7 to 10 years progressive and advanced security experience,CISSP,CISA
* Unix, firewalls, vulnerability remediation, internet / network architecture,
incident response to actual significant outbreaks over
the past two years
* Security hardening, system administration, auditing/security assessment,
wireless security knowledge, emerging technologies (VoIP,RFID, etc).
* The architect ensures forward designs remain consistent with the business
objectives. The position oversees and provides technical consultation during
design implementation ensuring the architecture goals and requirements are met.
* The security architect will lead the evolution of a comprehensive process for
incorporating Internet security intelligence, network heuristics and asset
management into an
automated threat and vulnerability management model.
* The architect's responsibilities include the analysis of network traffic,
enterprise applications and data flows to ensure security
risks are mitigated.
* Finally, the security architect provides expertise to other security projects
and mentors other security staff to enhance the overall security programs.
