Position: Security Consultant
Location: Various, , United States
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2005-09-29
LURHQ is seeking experienced information security consultants. As a Security
Consultant, you will provide services to firms throughout the United States.
Travel ranging from 40%-60% is required.
Responsibilities and activities will include prospective customer meetings,
project scope definition, proposal development, onsite consulting, and timely
completion of deliverables. Specific consulting activities may include:
-Threat and Vulnerability Management process definition and implementation
-Vulnerability/penetration assessments: network, system and application
-Security architecture and device configuration reviews
-Compliance process consulting
JOB REQUIREMENTS

This role requires a well-rounded background in information security and
relevant information technology, best practices and standards and ability to
understand the tradeoff between business requirements to security risks.
You must be able to autonomously prepare professional consulting deliverables
that effectively communicate results to both high-level executives and senior
technical staff. You must also be able to prepare and deliver effective
presentations.
Candidates should have a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience, and an
assortment of relevant technical certifications such as CISSP & GIAC.
