Position: Security Engineer
Location: Berkshire, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T

Network Security Engineering (NSE) deploys the companies Security Solutions
within EMEA. NSE provide support to the BID phase and perform the engineering
and implemention stages for the required technical solution. Once implemented
solution is then passed into the companies global Security Operations Centre
(SOC) for Operational Management.
Products deployed are based on Nokia/Checkpoint solutions.
NSE provides bespoke Security Solutions to a group of dedicated customers.
A whole range of services is provided from design phase through to and
including operational management and Life Cycle Engineering.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
·Good knowledge of Nokia family of IP Security Platforms.
·Good understanding of Checkpoint Firewall-1 (4.1 & NG) and associated
feature - VPN, Secure remote, Secure client, SurfControl
·Good working knowledge on configuring Checkpoint firewall-1 solutions
using Checkpoint Provider-1.
·Understanding of networking - WAN/LAN
·Any knowledge of Cisco PIX/VPN, Crossbeam, ISS IDS/IPS, McAfee IDS/IPS
would be beneficial but not necessary.
·Fluent in English - Both written and verbal. Any other languages
beneficial but not necessary.
·Willingness to travel and to work flexible hours(including weekend work
as the business needs)
.There is also a requirement to provide on call cover on a rota basis.
·Well developed communications- and social skills
·At least 3 years experience in a related security
design/engineering/operational environment
·Bachelor or higher degree in related field or comparable knowledge
level
·Vendor (Checkpoint) certification
