JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Director, Information Security
Location:       Tampa/St. Petersburg , Florida, United States
Type:           Contract

Closing Date:   2005-09-05

This is a contract to hire position.  Our client would like someone with 
longevity in job history that will consider becoming a permanent employee with 
this client. The preferred candidate will Architect solutions for and lead the 
design, development and implementation of information security related software 
packages and advanced monitoring systems for client/server, LAN/WAN and 
distributed systems.  Develop and maintain security software and systems as 
required. Function as Sr. Technical Security expert and work with both users 
and IT technologists to develop security systems and policies that enhance the 
security of systems. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
8 years in a Senior Systems or Network Engineering role with strengths in 
Security. Prefer 4 years at management/supervisory level and the CISSP or CISA 
certification. In absence of certs the candidate must commit to obtain the 
CISSP within 18 months.  Must have advanced technical problem solving skills to 
define root causes of data security problems along with advanced knowledge of 
TCP/IP routed networks, Network design principals, firewall and perimeter 
protection technologies,
