Position: Security Engineer
Location: Tampa, Florida, United States

services in the Southeast United States. Acuity Solutions provides consulting
and professional services as well as solutions from industry leading vendors
such as Check Point, Nokia, RSA, SurfControl, Aventail and many other best of
breed partners.
Acuity Solutions offers a full line of in-house managed and support services.
The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of design,
implementation, and support of network, application, web and database security
in our client’s IT Infrastructure and systems.
This is an ideal position for a motivated individual looking to work in diverse
client environments with a wide-range of leading products and services. The
ideal candidate will be a self motivated individual with strong team skills and
a desire to succeed.
Duties will include:
• Build requirements, design, develop, document and implement security
solutions for the Acuity Solutions clients.
• Assist in recommendation and evaluation of new vendor technologies.
• Develop new revenue generating opportunities by working to understand
customer’s business needs, discussing these with sales team, develop
proposals and SOW’s for products and services, and communicate them orally
and in written form.
• Maintain a high level of expertise around security technologies, and be
able to articulate their value to senior management and sales staff
• Assist in creation of new client offerings.
Responsibilities:
• Meet with Acuity’s clients to uncover their current and future
security needs.
• Meet with vendors to evaluate their tools to satisfy Acuity’s
current and future needs.
• Perform pre and post sales activity, design and implementation and
support of all Acuity approved vendors
• Closely work with project managers to ensure timely delivery of complex
Information Security projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Technical Skills:
• Minimum of three years strong, documented, security experience in a
Windows 2000 & 2003 and Linux environments within the Enterprise space.
• Experience in current client/server OS environments – preferably
Windows 2000/ XP and Windows Server 2000/2003.
• In-depth working knowledge with or administrating Microsoft Active
Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP required.
• In-depth working knowledge with or administrating XP and/or Advanced
Server 2003 is preferred
• Must have working knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI
model from a security perspective.
• Documented and demonstrable Firewall and VPN experience with Check
Point NG-AI required. Netscreen and /or Cisco PIX firewall experience desirable.
• Documented and demonstrable routing and switching experience with Cisco
networking equipment is required.
• Understanding of Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention concepts is
essential, working experience with ISS Real Secure/Proventia or TippingPoint
preferred.
• Knowledge of password management and single-sign-on practices and
solutions, experience with the RSA Security product is beneficial.
• Attack and penetration experience in developing good security
practices, along with knowledge of how to resolve security related issues from
scans of the network.
• Must have prior experience supporting a 24 x 7, critical system
production environment.
• Ability to work with various levels of business users, other IT staff
and vendors to resolve business and systems issues in a timely manner.
• Excellent written/oral communications skills.
Security / Network / Certifications
• CISSP, SANS, GEAC, CCSP, CCNP recommended
• Check Point CCSE on NG/AI required
Additional Skills Required
• Strong Analytical Thinking and Excellent Troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Security Best Practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• College degree preferred but not required
