Position: Security Product Manager
Location: Alexandria, , United States
Type: Permanent P/T

A Principal Threat Analyst is responsible for keeping the global analysis teams
and supporting technology up to date with new and emerging threats. This
position will be responsible for designing & deploying training globally and
for documenting new processes & polices for global operations. This position is
also responsible for monitoring current trends in the MSS attack data and
communicating these trends to both internal & external customers. In addition,
the candidate will also be responsible for documenting new requirements and
working with MSS development team to implement new detection and reporting
capabilities. The candidate will be capable of leading an Analysis Contingency
Action Team that responds to emerging threats.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
6-8 years relevant network & security experience. Strong networking background
with hands on experience. Strong knowledge of current vulnerabilities/attacks
and at least 2 years experience in reviewing firewall/IDS logs. Expert level
knowledge of TCP/IP protocols is a must. Strong statistical background and
programming skills (Perl, ASP, SQL) are desirable. Ability to work
independently, lead projects from concept to delivery and work in small teams.
At least 2 years SOC/NOC experience required. Must be very articulate in both
verbal & written communications. Proven customer service skills, interpersonal
skills and ability to perform in high stress situations. Symantec Corporation
