Position: Security Engineer
Location: Hunt Valley, Maryland, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2005-08-26
Continental Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is a leading regional integrator with
offices in Maryland and Pennsylvania. We have an immediate opportunity at our
Hunt Valley headquarters. This is a contract position that reports to our
Manager of Professional Services. The duration of the project will be 2 months.
The primary duty will be to conduct network security assessments for specific
customers located throughout PA. There will be some overnight travel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Skill Set:
- 5 years in the network security field
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools
- Experience in core network security infrastructure design
- Understanding of IP protocol and Internet communication
- Experience with backup and recovery software and procedures
- Experience with firewall administration
- Experience with IDS/IPS implementation
- O/S level security including group policy and auditing
- Proven documentation skills (examples required)
- Ability to communicate to all levels of customers
- Previous IT assessment experience a bonus
Certifications:
CCNA
CISSP
SANS
Security +
Vendor Specific (Symantec, etc.)
