Job Description:
We are searching for a Software Engineer to join our systems team. The main
responsibilities of the position include: Maintaining build system,
installation, and upgrade scripts for Sourcefire Products.
Configuring packaging and build environments for Sourcefire applications.
Operating system and product infrastructure for Sourcefire applications.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
* Well versed in Linux/Unix command line tools.
* Ability to write perl and advanced bash shell scripts.
* Familar with Linux/unix packaging tools like rpm and slackware.
* Versed in the fundamentals of linux distributions.
* Basic system administration skills in a unix and windows environment.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to learn new skills and apply them quickly.
* Comfortable working with hardware (racking equipment, cabling,
installing hard drives, memory or network cards.
* Basic Networking knowledge.
* Motivated team player with excellent communication skill and a
positive attitude.
In addition, the following skills are desired:
* C/CC++ Development experience in a unix environment
* Windows packaging skills, e.g. install shield
* Experience with MySql or other database.
