Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Montvale, New Jersey, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-09-11
Support ongoing operations of KPMG’s Identity Management Systems
Infrastructure, a mission critical application security infrastructure in a
global environment
- Manage system components to help to ensure high availability, including
zero-impact maintenance
- Perform system installations and updates across multiple environments
- Establish environmental change control policies and procedures - non
production environments must be managed to accurately mirror production
- Participate in providing 7X24X365 on-call support
- Implement automated system monitoring, alarming and recovery services
across various systems
- Perform system audits and trend analysis - providing timely, accurate
reports
- Liaise with other network infrastructure services (LAN, WAN, Security,
Firewall, etc)
- Provide incident and problem resolution
- Support system failover and initiatives
- Produce required system documentation
- Provide administration for operational components (LDAP stores and SQL
databases)
- Optimize automation of various regular operational and administrative
activities
- Follow consistent Quality Assurance controls across various environments
- Defines operational criteria and measures system performance related to
established Service Level Agreements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university or equivalent work
experience is required
- High level of technical experience supporting diverse infrastructure
technologies (e.g. servers, applications, LAN, WAN, internet technologies) with
a minimum of three to five years in a large, multi-site organization focused on
Microsoft technologies NT, Windows 2000/3 server, Active Directory, IIS
- Experience with some kind of Access Control Application strongly
preferred (IBM/Tivoli Access Manager, Netegrity SiteMinder, etc.)
- Strong analytical ability for problem identification and resolution
- Experience with Hardware (HP/Compaq ProLiant servers), Network switches
and routers, Firewalls
- Experience with most of the following software; Win NT, Win 2000/3,
Terminal Server, IIS, CIM, NetBackup, MS SQL Server
- Possess strong understanding of Windows AD/NT/IIS security, VBscripting
and Web based applications
- In-depth understanding of network architectures and protocols, TCP/IP,
DNS, LDAP, SMTP, SSL and Network diagnostic tools is mandatory
- Development database administration experience is required
(SQL/Oralce/DB2/Access)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills are required
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter: results/team-oriented with a
customer focused attitude willing to assume responsibility for all deliverables
within a dynamic and demanding environment
