ACCOUNT MANAGERS JOB RESPONSIBILITES

The Account Managers’ primary job function is to provide sales and account 
management activities within defined territories. The position reports directly 
to a Sales Manager. Daily and ongoing job functions include:

• Account Managers will be responsible for developing and driving their 
territory’s sales strategy, identifying and qualifying leads, maintaining 
existing accounts while consistently closing new business on a monthly and 
quarterly basis, in order to meet or exceed quarterly margin quotas. 

• Core tasks should include; follow up of qualified vendor leads or 
opportunities, development of strategies to secure business from new and 
existing accounts, preparation of proposals, quotes, statements of work and 
reports, working with vendors on marketing programs, making on-site visits to 
prospects and customers. Represent and promote NetworkGuys Inc. at trade shows 
and on customer visits.

• Consult with existing customers, identify requirements, introduce new 
products and services, present technical information in easily understood terms 
and develop relationships that meet/exceed customer' needs, by attending to 
customer services issues and acting as the professional liaison between 
customer and NetworkGuys.

• Development of territory sales strategy, by management of the sales 
cycle from lead generation through close, including occasional post-close 
service. Develop this strategy in conjunction with vendor reps and internal 
engineering staff. Consistent and on-plan revenue delivery through skilled lead 
identification/qualification and pipeline management. Continue to improve 
technical skills in association with products and services that NetworkGuys 
sells. Obtain vendor certifications when required.

• Work with relevant engineering staff to formulate and perform strategic 
plans to form new and close existing sales opportunities. Work with the 
relevant Sales and Administrative staff to ensure that all support and 
subscription agreements are current and that renewal of subscriptions are 
reported and monitored. Work with engineering staff to develop and implement 
processes that ensure the workflow is optimized and that data is shared with 
all relevant parties.

• Update and review the relevant NetworkGuys databases, tracking and 
forecasting systems and ensure continuity of data. Keep personal forecasts up 
to date and work to achieve and exceed forecast.
