Position: Security Architect
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Permanent P/T

Our client, a leading financial services firm in New York City, has an
immediate need for a Security Architect to join their Global Security group.
Position Description:
Lead Security Architect responsible for architecture and design of the global
firewall and intrusion detection and prevention infrastructure Responsible for
architecture and design of the solutions to prevent DDOS attacks on the network
Responsible for evaluation and recommendations of emerging security technology
and devices Responsible for working with the ML information security and
privacy teams on company wide initiatives and audits Responsible for other
network related initiatives Provide technical vision to the enterprise_s global
network group Develop roadmaps, global strategies, architectures and standards
to be deployed across the enterprise Provide technical leadership to global
network initiatives and projects Provide technical expertise during network
troubleshooting, major outages and other issues escalated to network
engineering Provide Technology and Product analysis _ work with external
vendors to develop solutions to be offered as services to all businesses
Provide technical, solutions oriented network consulting to all enterprise
businesses Develop documentation, technical presentations and training to
various businesses
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Job Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor degree in an engineering discipline Minimum of 10 years
experience in the network communications field in a similar role Strong
knowledge of Checkpoint Firewall-1 on SUN and Nokia hardware, Juniper
(Netscreen) and Cisco PIX firewalls. Working knowledge of Checkpoint Provider-1
and Juniper NSM enterprise firewall management system. Working knowledge of
virtual firewall technology. Working knowledge of routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP,
etc), switching, TCP/IP protocol suit, network and performance management Track
record as a team lead and architect with responsibility for designing,
documenting, implementing, and supporting large networks - Excellent
communication and writing skills - Some business and financial knowledge
