Position: Security System Administrator
Location: Appleton, Wisconsin, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-08-14
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install configure, and maintain storage hardware and software systems.
Develop procedures and practices to manage and report on the performance of the
Storage environment in order to meet all required service level agreements.
Evaluate, implement, and integrate new hardware and software products into the
existing storage infrastructure.
Monitor system utilization and develop models for sizing and workload
distribution within the storage infrastructure.
Develop, document and distribute production operational processes to ensure the
availability and reliability of the Storage environment.
Assist in the development and testing of the Disaster Recovery Plan for storage.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

BS Degree with minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting the following
software and hardware products: EMC Symmetrix, EMC Control Center, EMC Workload
Analyzer, McData Directors, McData EFC Manager, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for
backup on Solaris, NT, and Netware, IBM 3494 automated tape Library, IBM LTO
Tape Library, in a large complex multi-platform environment.
Hands on experience installing, configuring and implementing EMC, McData and
IBM hardware and software across both UNIX and Windows operating systems
environments.
Hands on experience working in a large fiber channel SAN with multiple
directors, servers, and storage frames.
Experience installing and maintaining enterprise class backup and recovery
software such as IBM's TSM.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems involving servers, Symmetrix
storage, and McData directors.
Ability to do performance monitoring and analysis for storage across multiple
operating systems environments (Solaris, Windows).
Ability to work proficiently in UNIX and Windows operating systems
environments.
Excellent teamwork and teambuilding skills; Strong oral and written
communication skills; Good organizational skills and the ability to document
and communicate complex concepts involving the products supported by the
Storage Team.
Ability to work well with multiple hardware and software vendors (EMC, McData,
IBM).
Self-starter that is willing to take initiative identifying issues and driving
them to resolution.
Ability to work on cross functional teams providing technical direction for
storage and backup issues
MVS, UNIX or Desktop disk management experience a must.
DFSMS, Enterprise backup, or Disaster Recovery experience would be a plus.
Disk capacity and performance management experience desired.
