Sr. QA Engineer - Performance - Database
ArcSight, Inc. is looking for a Sr. QA Engineer to join the existing QA team in
testing of ArcSight products. Qualified candidates that meet the position
requirements should also have experience working in a fast paced, dynamic and
team oriented environment. This position reports to the QA Manager.
Position Description:
Primary responsibility is to conduct performance tests on ArcSight's high-end
systems recording throughput, resource utilization, insertion rates, etc.
Additional responsibilities include database testing which can range from
embedded DB installations to partition management, archiving, etc. Ideal
candidates will have a strong understanding of java based, enterprise class
multi-threaded software.
Additional responsibilities include executing functional test cases, filing bug
reports and working closely with other team members in Engineering, Technical
Support and Professional Services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Required Experience:
5 years of Software Quality Assurance with Enterprise-class software
Strong experience with RDBMS based software
Solid Technical understanding of Oracle 9i and DB2
Strong understanding of storage and high availability systems (ie, RAID,
clustering, load balancers, fail-over, etc)
Strong Testing Experience on Unix and Windows NT operating systems
Expert level experience with LoadRunner
Desired Experience:
Experience in analyzing performance data with regard to throughput, resource
consumption and load balancing
Experience testing Firewalls, IDS, and/or Vulnerability Scanners
Education:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience (MS preferred)
