IT Security Engineer for LAN/WAN, Internet, Removable Storage
Industry: Financial Brokerage
Location: Dallas, TX
Solid small stable company in the financial sector with a high employee
retention has an immediate need for a IT Security Engineer. This position will
be responsible for ensuring proper assessment of the security risks associated
with new, developing and changing IT systems. The assessment process will
include validation of compliance with SEC standards; initiatives and strategic
direction; negotiation with business and IT on the options; and risks and
mitigating factors affecting the final risk that the company will accept.
This is a newly-created position that will be responsible for all aspects of
security including LAN/WAN, Internet, and removable storage. High visibility
position with high level of responsibility and a chance to be recognized for
accomplishments.
Salary: 80K- 100K plus bonus package(up to 50%), 401K 1to 1 match to max level,
Deferred Profit Sharing Plan, Excellent Medical Plan & Coverage
Relocation: Full assistance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications Needed:
* Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree preferably in a computer related
course of study.
* 5+ years of professional experience in IT systems security.
* Must have senior level expertise in all aspects of computer and networking
security.
* Thorough understanding of the current trends in Malware and Hacking.
* A good understanding of a variety of operating systems including but not
limited to Microsoft 2000/2003, Sun Solaris, Red Hat Linux, and Cisco
IOS/PIX/IDS.
* Must possess one or more of the following: CISSP certification, CCSP
certification, MCSE/MCSA Certification, CCNA Certification, A++ Certification.
* Must be able to travel at least 20% of the time.
