Position: Technology Risk Consultant
Location: Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, United States

We are seeking an Information Technology Risk Analyst with strong a technical
background along with the ability to evaluate risk in the Enterprise
environment and develop a technology framework to manage risk. The ideal
candidate will have experience working in the financial industry and will rely
on this past experience to further cultivate the Risk Practice at SIG. The
successful candidate will expand the risk initiatives by providing consulting
and operational support to cross-functional technology teams. The Analyst will
work closely with the Security Engineering team and other business and
technology teams to identify exposure and implement standards, procedures, and
policies to ensure core systems integrity and reliability. Demonstrated ability
in facilitating change within a technology organization is an integral
requirement for this role. SIG's fast-paced, dynamic environment requires
"out-of-the-box" thinking and risk-based decision making in order to develop
creativ
e solutions for the business. The Analyst will support all production
processes and platforms in the following areas: Change Management, Standards
and Procedures, Problem Management, and Risk Management. This role will also be
responsible for ensuring that solutions are properly documented and supported
within the SIG technology environment. Additional duties include training and
educating Technology staff on Risk Management subjects and tools, providing
recommendations, and performing audits. At SIG, our Risk Practice focuses not
only on security but includes all operational aspects of the production
environment. The Risk team works closely with the BCP/DR team in planning for
interruptions in business-critical services. The Risk Team is responsible for
the design, development, and management of the process, policies and procedures
surrounding Change Management. The focus of Change Management at SIG is related
to the scheduling, coordination, implementation and testing of c
hanges to hardware and software components in the production environment. The
Risk Team also handles Problem Management which includes facilitating a
consistent response to service interruptions; performing Situation Reviews
following production outages in order to measure business impact and identify
areas for improvement; and performing trend analysis on historical problem data
to identify underlying issues. The Risk Team is responsible for the Technology
Risk Review effort at SIG which identifies and tracks exposures in the
production environment and subsequently works with the technology teams to
address these risks. The team also performs policy/procedure and technical
audits to ensure adherence to established standards and practices. This team
proactively investigates and identifies areas where improved monitoring and/or
changes may enable function or reduce risk in existing systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum five (5) years experience providing support on a broad base of
technology platforms and applications with focus on client server environments
running mission critical business applications in a distributed environment.
Financial firm experience a plus.
Extensive experience working in environments where a focus was placed on change
management and problem management.
Experience with using system level monitoring tools.
Extensive experience in multi-site, multi-cultural environment where consensus
and team
building is a requirement.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
