Position: Security System Administrator
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2005-08-07
The candidate will work with existing IT and Engineering staff to provide
reliable, functional and highly secure office and production infrastructures.
Duties are broad subject to change, but include being jointly responsible for
the administration, configuration, and security of all existing company
computing and network infrastructure. Additionally, the candidate would be
involved in design and planning of all future systems from the ground up.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Strong UNIX skill-set, including configuration, installation and on-going
administration with an emphasis on security. Solid experience with multiple
platforms and operating systems, primarily Linux and BSD based systems.
Impeccable security discipline. Must be passionate about all things related to
information security. Must be able to talk intelligently about various
security technologies and put your words and thoughts into action.
Solid understanding of common network protocols, policies and practices. Must
be perfectly comfortable configuring, administering, debugging and securing
various types of network equipment. This includes, but is in no way limited
to, Cisco, Dell, and Foundry switches, Cisco PIX, OpenBSD's pf, Linux's
iptables. MUST know TCP/IP like the back of your hand, and be intimately
familiar with common "debugging" tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, be flexible, turn on a dime at
a moments notice to work on something else, and be able to
function in a fast-paced startup environment. Must be willing to do whatever
it takes to get the job done and done right.
Must be a self starter, but also be comfortable working in conjunction with
other employees and projects.
Solid scripting experience with a focus on automation. Must also be
comfortable with building, configuring and debugging software from source.
The ideal candidate would also have experience with compliance, PCI/CISP,
HIPAA, SOX, etc.
