Position: Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance (QA) Manager
Seeking a Quality Assurance Manager with 7-12 years of software quality
engineering or quality assurance experience, and a minimum of 3-5 years
experience as QA manager on a number of products. Candidate must have
experience with instituting QA processes in a new company/new project.
Position includes the following responsibilities:
• Provide vision, leadership and direction to the QA team dedicated to
the software suite testing and general availability release.
• Manage and motivate a high-caliber testing team both local and offshore
in a collaborative culture that encourages excellence and rewards results.
• Ensure on-time delivery of software and products, technology, and tools
providing the reliability, performance and scalability required by the most
demanding enterprise customers.
• Own the entire QA testing process of all the software components within
our software suite using best practices in software testing and release
management to deliver superior results.
• Use a hands-on approach to manage the scope and schedule of the testing
efforts.
• Work closely with the development team, product management, client
services and business development to ensure product success and to meet the
company’s growth and profit targets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities and proven
leadership/mentoring skills.
• Familiar with full product lifecycle, especially as it relates to
commercially available software products.
• Ability to be a hands-on manager, directly involved in actual product
quality assurance.
• Familiar with enterprise IT security systems, including data and
datalink encryption, anti-virus (AV), vulnerability analysis (VA), policy
compliance, VPN, and firewalls.
• Experience with products that employ a central server and distributed
agents.
• Familiar with administration/configuration of mobile devices, such as
Palm, PocketPC, Smartphone, RIM Blackberry, Symbian
• Administrative experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange,
Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, SQL Server.
• Familiar with sync services such as Intellisync, Good, Extended, BES,
Activesync
• Experience with automated test system development, particularly with
TestQuest or similar systems.
• Experience managing offshore team members.
• Education: B.S. degree in Engineering, Science or Technology field,
preferably software or computer science.
